42. Still lots to do but …
This is a post I should have put up before I left the UK. Just ahead of leaving, I did manage to install the main timbers that take the eye from the bow right to the stern of the boat. They are very solid pieces of sapele that had to be bent and twisted, albeit very slightly. It was quite a task, using almost all my clamp collection! And now there is shaping and sanding to be done. The inner edge needs to flow seamlessly and the outer edge needs lots of work to make it look organic. I now have a few weeks left of my time in New Zealand before heading back to Chinnor Hill for the final push. I would like to launch in September or October. Wish me luck!
