8. Beginning to look like a boat?

After a couple of stupid mistakes last week it is at least beginning to look like it might one day be a boat. The mistakes were, of course, very stupid and all about not reading the plans properly, although when it comes to accuracy I was way off track. Until Michael (from the yard …  not Scotland but the yard where I have my studio) came around and said “when me and my dad were signwriting we never traced plans like that,  what we did was….” and once explained it was easy even if it did mean my employing him for a morning.
